Deputy to the Commanding General

Christine T. Marsh is the Deputy to the Commanding General of Natick Soldier Systems Center (NSSC) at Natick, Massachusetts, under the U.S. Army Research Development and Engineering Command, a subordinate of Army Materiel Command. Previously, Ms. Marsh served as Executive Officer to the Commanding General at NSSC. Prior to working for NSSC, Ms. Marsh was in industry and held a Director position with Verizon in the Columbia Operations at the Global Professional Services Enterprise Solutions. As General Manager, she led cross-functional teams, executed and evaluated programs, analyzed profits and created new business opportunities in support of the National Security Agency (NSA).
Originally from Burlington, Mass., Ms. Marsh enlisted in the Army as a Private, served thirty years and retired as a Colonel. While on active duty with the United States Army, Ms. Marsh held a variety of key command and staff positions including: Director Meade Operations Center at NSA, Garrison and Group Commander at Menwith Hill Station, Chief of the Army Cryptologic Office at NSA, Deputy Division Chief for Force Development at Department of the Army Deputy Chief of Staff Operations and Plans at the Pentagon, Battalion Commander, and the Senior US Army Advisor NATO Operations Officer Electronic Warfare to the Baltic Approaches in AFNORTH NATO.
Ms. Marsh’s service awards and decorations include: the Defense Superior Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Parachutist Badge, and the Army Staff Identification Badge.
Ms. Marsh holds a Master of Science in Applied Psychology from the University of Baltimore, a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College, and a Master of Business Administration in Personnel Management from Central Michigan University. She also served as a National Security Fellow in the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
