Installation Guide

General Post Information

Working Hours: NSSC’s progressive alternative work schedule permits most employees to vary the work day start and quit time and the length of the work day while meeting the 80 hour biweekly work requirement. Civilian core hours are from 0900 to 1530, Monday through Friday.

Parking: Free to employees and visitors. Visitor spaces are reserved in Parking Lot A, in front of the Natick Headquarters Building.

Food Service: Available in the Natick Headquarters cafeteria.

First Aid: Available in the Natick Health Clinic, Building No. 30, located on Fifth Avenue, behind the Climatic Chambers Building.

Visitor Transportation and Lodging: Visitor transportation is not available from Logan Airport. Rental cars or Mass Transit should be utilized. Motels are centrally located.

Notary Public: Service is provided free through the Legal Office, third floor, Headquarters Building.

Employment Office: Located in Room A-117, first floor, Headquarters Building.

Telephone Service: The U.S. Army Natick Soldier Systems Center and its tenants are equipped to complete telephone traffic by either commercial or DSN channels. The commercial number for the post is (508) 233 plus the appropriate four digit number; the DSN number is 256 plus the four number extension.

Credit Union: Hanscom Federal Credit Union has a branch operating at the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Systems Center. The branch is located in the basement of Building 1.

    The exchange is an annex of the Main Exchange at Hanscom AFB and has a very limited range of items. However, patrons may order AAFES items not stocked. They also stock or can order military clothing items. It is open from 0630 until 1430. The Main Exchange at Hanscom AFB is about a twenty-five minute drive. It is open Mon-Sat, 10:00 to 7:00 PM and Sunday, 11:00 to 6:00 PM. It is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day. Telephone number is (617) 377-5258 (DSN 478).

    Hours:
    Tu-Fri, 9-7; Saturday 8:30-6:30; Sunday 12-5. Closed Monday. There is no commissary physically located at Natick. The information above refers to the commissary at Hanscom AFB which is a twenty-five minute drive from the installation.
