Merger consolidates DA Executive Agency and oversight of Clothing Services with the Army’s Heraldry Program Mission

EDGEWOOD, Md. – On June 12, 2005, the Installation Management Agency’s Clothing and Services Office (CSO) became part of TACOM’s Integrated Logistics Support Center Clothing and Heraldry Product Support Integration Directorate (C&H PSID). As a result of the merger, the CSO now includes the Army’s Heraldry Program and is called the Clothing and Heraldry Services Office (CHSO).

The CHSO will handle all matters relating to Central Issue Facilities, including input for development of policies and procedures, and Army Military Clothing Sales Stores, serving as the functional and technical experts and conducting management assistance visits. This new office will also develop guidance for clothing issue-in-kind system and serve as the focal point for Clothing Initial Issue Points. Heraldry responsibilities will encompass not only flags, streamers, medals and guidons for both Soldiers and veterans, but also the management of the Working Dog Program.

“This is a great opportunity for us to combine the best business practices of two outstanding organizations,” said Greg Schech, Director, C&H PSID.

The main office will be located at Edgewood, Md. with two satellite locations: Philadelphia and Natick, Mass.
