Restoration Advisory Board meets to discuss Natick Labs environmental issues

NATICK, Mass. - The Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) for the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center, known locally as Natick Labs, has scheduled a meeting for Thursday, March 1 at 7 p.m. at the Officers Club.

The meeting will open with a review of the minutes from February's meeting and continue with a period for general comments. Next, an update and review on the Boiler Plant Release Abatement Measure Plan will be covered. A proposed action on the Gym Site Removal is also a topic, along with updates on Buildings 22 and 36. A public comment period will follow.

The RAB plays an active role in the Soldier Systems Center's environmental efforts in restoring the Superfund sites by reviewing technical reports and aiding in the development of cleanup strategies. RAB membership is composed of local citizens, Army personnel, and officials from the Environmental Protection Agency and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.

Natick is part of the U.S. Army Soldier and Biological Chemical Command (SBCCOM). For more information about SBCCOM or the Soldier Systems Center (Natick), please visit our web site at
