Restoration Advisory Board meets to discuss Natick Labs environmental issues
NATICK, Mass. - The Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) for the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center, known locally as Natick Labs, has scheduled a meeting for Thursday, June 7 at 7 p.m. at the Officers Club.
The meeting will open with a review of the minutes from May's meeting and continue with a period for general comments. Next will be an update on the Boiler Plant Release Abatement Measure Plan. A discussion on ranking sites for funds will follow, then a draft ground-water model. A public comment period is the last scheduled topic on the agenda.
The RAB plays an active role in the Soldier Systems Center's environmental efforts in restoring the Superfund sites by reviewing technical reports and aiding in the development of cleanup strategies. RAB membership is composed of local citizens, Army personnel, and officials from the Environmental Protection Agency and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.
Natick is part of the U.S. Army Soldier and Biological Chemical Command (SBCCOM). For more information about SBCCOM or the Soldier Systems Center (Natick), please visit our web site at http://www.sbccom.army.mil.
