Natick Labs, Framingham State College to sign partner document
Natick, Mass. --- Leaders from the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center and Framingham State College will sign a partnering agreement Monday, February 4, 10:30 a.m., during a short ceremony at the Framingham State College Athletic Center, in the President's Conference Room.
Col. James L. Kennon, commander of the Soldier Systems Center, also known as Natick Labs, and Dr. Helen Heineman, president of Framingham State College, will sign a Memorandum of Understanding, or MOU.
The MOU will allow the organizations to work together in the areas of biology, psychology, chemistry, food technology, textile technology, and business administration. It also establishes intern positions at the Army facility for Framingham State College undergrads as well as jobs for the college's grads with a cumulative average of 3.5 or higher.
Natick Labs has more than 35 employees who graduated from Framingham State College.
The event is open to the media. Army and Framingham State College officials ask that media covering the ceremony be in place by 10:25 a.m.
