Daughters and sons to see work on Earth Day NATICK, Mass. -- Bring Your Daughters and Sons to Work/Earth Day is scheduled for April 19 at the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick). The event encourages employees to introduce their children to an actual workplace and to portray the Soldier Systems Center as an environment where men and women serve as role models. The 2002 Army Earth Day theme is "Protecting our Freedom…Preserving the Environment." Scheduled events were chosen to inform participants on some of the many possibilities available to them to help protect the environment. Earth Day will begin with a red maple tree planting and a seedling handout. At 10 a.m. the Roger Williams Park Zoomobile will present "Creepy Crawly Critters" with live animals in Hunter Auditorium. The Women In Science and Engineering (WISE) team will sponsor a program of activities for children ages 9-18 in support of Bring Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day. Activities scheduled include a tour of the Climatic Chambers, Parachute Shop and several hands-on demonstrations. Natick is part of the U.S. Army Soldier and Biological Chemical Command (SBCCOM).
