Natick, Mass. --- William Winkenwerder Jr., MD, MBA, the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, will visit the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center, also known as Natick Labs, today.
Dr. Winkenwerder will tour the installation and learn about the missions, capabilities, and unique facilities. While here, he will also visit the U.S. Army Research Institute for Environmental Medicine (ARIEM), which is part of the Medical Command and a key partner in Natick's research and development efforts.
At 2 p.m., Dr. Winkenwerder will hold a press conference in the Command Conference Center to discuss his mission and answer questions. He will talk about Force Health Protection and Medical Readiness. Maintaining a world-class health program for our servicemembers is a key goal for Dr. Winkenwerder.
