Restoration Advisory Board meets to discuss environmental issues

NATICK, Mass. - The Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) for the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center, known locally as Natick Labs, has scheduled a meeting for Thursday, May 2 at 7 p.m. at the Community Club, formerly known as the Officers Club.

The meeting will open with a review of the minutes from the March and April meetings and continue with a period for general comments. Topics on the agenda include the review of fiscal year 2002 budget rankings and a continuation of the discussion on dioxin/furan. A public comment period is the last scheduled topic on the agenda.

The RAB plays an active role in the Soldier Systems Center's environmental efforts by reviewing technical reports and aiding in the development of cleanup strategies.

RAB membership is composed of local citizens, Army personnel, and officials from the Environmental Protection Agency and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.

The meeting is open to the public.

Natick is part of the U.S. Army Soldier and Biological Chemical Command (SBCCOM). For more information about SBCCOM or the Soldier Systems Center (Natick), please visit our website at http://www.sbccom.army.mil.
