Conference discusses interactive textiles
Natick, Mass. -- The International Interactive Textiles for the Warrior conference is scheduled for July 9-11 at the Boston Marriott in Cambridge, Mass., with the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick) as host.
The two-and-a-half day conference will consist of multiple technical sessions and a workshop on assessing the importance of interactive textiles to the Soldier System and their potential for commercial applications.
Showing interactive textile technology's likely significance to the soldier system now and in the future, describing the Army's vision of future battlefield and warrior needs, influencing the establishment of soldier-related science and technology efforts in interactive textiles, and encouraging international cooperative agreements in interactive textiles are among the conference's objectives.
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Program Executive Office - Soldier (PEO-Soldier), NASA and Army Research Laboratory's Army Research Office are the co-sponsors.
