Future Soldier Systems to be showcased
NATICK, MA --- Media are invited to see the Army’s Future Force Warrior (FFW) and Future Warrior Concept (FWC) on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 10 a.m., at the Washington Convention Center, Washington, D.C. This opportunity will be held in the U.S. Army Materiel Command’s display area, Booth 3003, during this year’s annual Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Convention.
This event will include a brief overview of the FFW (2010 time-frame) and FWC (2025 time-frame) by subject matter expert Jean-Louis “Dutch” DeGay, an equipment specialist with the Future Force Warrior Technology Program Office, located in Natick, Mass. Dan Harshman will demonstrate the FFW prototype and Staff Sgt. Raul Lopez will portray the FWC.
One-on-one interviews will be accommodated following the overviews.
FFW and FWC highlight the Army’s commitment to transform the Soldier into a major weapons platform through science and technology. Increasing a Soldier’s capabilities will increase his lethality. At the same time, new and emerging technologies will enhance the Soldier’s survivability.
Scientists, engineers, and supporting teams and organizations at the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center, Natick, Mass., are working these efforts.
