Restoration Advisory Board meets to discuss environmental issues

NATICK, Mass. – The Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) for the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center (SSC) has scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, June 24 at 7 p.m. in the Grant Conference Center.  Please note that the meeting will be held in the Grant Conference Center rather than the Recreation Center.  The Grant Conference Center is located between MacGillvary Hall (formerly Research Building #3) and MacArthur Hall (formerly Development Building #4).  Please park your vehicles in the parking lot across from the flag pole.  Enter MacArthur Hall through the middle side door and walk through the glass enclosed hallway to reach the Grant Conference Center.

The meetings will open with a review of the minutes from the April 2008 meeting and continue with a period for general comments.

The topic scheduled is Proposed Public Information Handout - SSC Sediment Sites.  A public comment period will follow.

The RAB plays an active role in the Soldier Systems Center’s environmental efforts by reviewing technical reports and aiding in the development of cleanup strategies.

RAB membership is comprised of local citizens, Army personnel, and officials from the Environmental Protection Agency and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.

The meeting is open to the public.

All entrance requirements remain the same.  All vehicles will be searched.  Photo identification will be required.

If interested in attending, please contact the Public Affairs Office, 508-233-5340 or 508-233-4391.
